Toms River Regional Schools is seeking three Intermediate Technology Teachers / Makerspace TeachersThe district is dedicated to providing a comprehensive technology education program for all of our children.  Intermediate Technology single marking period  course offerings are designed to prepare our students for 21st century careers implementing the maker mindset in their approach to solving problems.  Each year students learn about  digital citizenship, cyber safety and programming.  Sixth grade students further explore careers in technology, product evolution, hardware and software, and using digital tools to problem solve.  Those skills are enhanced as our seventh grade students expand their horizons solving global issues, analyzing data and understanding systems and technology resources.  Finally, in eighth grade, students experience the practical arts in a makerspace.  A place where technology meets the woodshop, art meets science and students use tools like saws and engineering notebooks to plan, explore, engineer, design and redesign.  This is a space of authentic problem solving.  Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume and copies of certificate(s) via www.applitrack.com/trschools/

I run an independent preK-12 school called The Delta School www.thedeltaschool.org in Wilson, AR about 40 miles north of Memphis. It is a very unique school with a focus on Making. Our entire curriculum is centered around projects using Human Systems Design. We are well funded. We have just opened a state of the art 6500 sq foot Maker’s Space with 5 labs and every piece of equipment you can imagine.

I have an opening for a Maker Educator. This position pays $80,000, has a terrific medical insurance, a 5%  retirement investment, a rent free apartment and the opportunity to create a program with practically unlimited funding to collaborate, invest in materials and travel. This position can start either ASAP or in January or next academic year in August of 2017.
