The Academic Consultant, Makerspaces is responsible for providing expertise, support, and access to technology and creative labs for faculty, staff, and students.
|Provide technical and creative maker consultation, support and resources for faculty, staff, and students.||30%|
|Oversee operation of the library makerspace, including equipment, software, and supplies.||20%|
|Promote use of the makerspace and foster and develop its user communities, including development, facilitation, and coordination of training programs and events.||20%|
|Other projects and duties to explore connections between maker activities and adjacent/emerging technologies.||15%|
|Train, support, delegate work assignments to, and oversee projects of select members of the student work force.||10%|
|Respond to after-hours service requests in the makerspace.||5%|
A Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant work experience is required. A Master’s degree in the field of Engineering, Computer Science, Fine Arts, or Entrepreneurship, and two years of relevant work experience are preferred.
